Position Overview:

TITAN Cement Group is seeking a talented Venture Capital Associate to join our team. As a Venture Capital Associate, you will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting the scale up of portfolio companies. Your expertise in venture capital will contribute to the growth and success of TITAN’s open innovation strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess high-potential investment opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals, staying abreast of market trends and innovative, emerging technologies.
  • Conduct due diligence, including market analysis, financial assessment, competitive landscape analysis, and risk evaluation, to assess the viability and potential of investment targets.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal stakeholders, highlighting key insights, risks, and opportunities associated with each potential investment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform comprehensive market research and analysis to support investment decision-making.
  • Assist in negotiating investment terms and deal structures, working closely with legal and finance teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor and support portfolio companies' performance by analyzing financial statements, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying opportunities for value creation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other stakeholders to stay connected with the latest developments in the company’s sector.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the venture capital team, offering insights and recommendations based on market research and investment analysis.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, competitive landscape, and technological advancements that could impact investment strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics or Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Previous focus on industrial or manufacturing sectors will be an asset.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate complex financial data and investment scenarios.
  • Proficiency in conducting due diligence, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Solid understanding of investment valuation methodologies and deal structuring.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks related to venture capital investments.
  • Prior entrepreneurial experience will be an asset.
