TITAN Cement Group is seeking to hire a Head of Concrete and Aggregates who will report to Group Head of R&D with the aim to bring forth and promote best practices in innovation and quality for concrete and aggregates, in line with the Groups’ priorities.
The role will be responsible to lead, coordinate and contribute to activities related to concrete and aggregates, aiming to add value to the organization, primarily by enriching its product portfolio, enhancing customer experience, as well as promoting operational excellence.

 

The position is based in TITAN Kamari Plant, in Greece.

 

What you will be doing


•    Lead, coordinate and contribute to the implementation of new concepts, products and processes, in collaboration with Business Units (BU’s) and other corporate functions, focusing on concrete and aggregates.
•    Provide deep domain expertise on product development to meet current and future customer expectations on performance of concrete and aggregates.
•    Coordinate internal benchmarking or similar activities to maintain superior customer experience and compliance, particularly on new product offerings. 
•    Drive collaborations with partners and relevant stakeholders, including technology and service providers, start-ups, inventors, academic collaborators, and technology experts, to assess and implement novel, low-carbon construction materials and methods, identify opportunities and risks, as well as facilitate knowledge and technology transfer.
•    Lead personnel, manage laboratory infrastructure and assets, organize and coordinate complex analytical and other operations, as well as maintain and expand business and scientific networks.

 

What you will bring


•    Ph.D. Diploma in Engineering or Science (preferably in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or Physics or Chemistry), in addition to proven working experience of at least six years in relevant research or industrial positions. Alternatively, Master’s degree in the above fields with proven working experience of at least ten years in relevant industrial or research positions. 
•    Technical proficiency in concrete and aggregates, with strong preference for hands-on experience in concrete manufacturing. 
•    Strong scientific background with proven record of accomplishment (e.g. high calibre published work, relevant completed projects or other appropriate).
•    Fluency in English (written and oral at a professional corporate level) and in at least one other EU language.
•    Experience from multicultural working environments will be considered a plus.
•    International travel within the EU and other destinations will be required (estimated 15% of the time).
•    Military obligations fulfilled, if applicable.
