Group IT Lead Networks Engineer

TITAN Cement Group is seeking an experienced and driven IT Lead Networks Engineer to join our Group IT team.

The Lead Networks Engineer role will provide operational support for network services and infrastructure for new and existing projects, acting as Subject Matter Expert, and leading in a variety of team-oriented projects in the Networks & Data Communications technology domain, support project planning, assist in design, implementation and deployment.

The position is based in Athens, Greece.

 Key responsibilities

•    Provides recommendations regarding network configurations and installations in compliance with architecture & standards.
•    Provides input for CAPEX budget of projects including forecast, planning, allocation, approval process, administration
•    Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
•    Conducts proof of concept (POC) validation
•    Monitors performance & utilization of resources to ensure network system scalability, availability, reliability and capacity planning
•    Configures and install various network devices and services e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, WAF, load balancers and Wi-Fi
•    Oversees, the design, management, and operation of Data Communication networks (MPLS, SDWAN, 4G/5G, ADSL/SDSL, DIA circuits, etc.).
•    Supports the reduction of design and implementation costs to achieve a harmonized & robust network infrastructure
•    Implements security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
•    Leads Network projects, defines priorities, guidance and support for IT Network resources group-wide 
•    Provides Levels 2 & 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
•    Plans, coordinates and follows up 3rd parties and service providers project activities, as needed. 
•    Maintains complete technical documentation
•    Aligns with other engineering, implementation, and operations teams 
•    Keeps professional skills updated and consistent with current market and technology trends.

What you will bring along

•    BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related technical field. 
•    Professional certifications CCNA and CCNP or equivalent.
•    8+ years of total experience; ideally within an organized IT department of a multinational company.
•    5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Networking Engineer.
•    Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
•    Excellent oral and written skills in English.
•    VMware, Microsoft, ITIL and/or Security certifications are nice qualifications to have.
