TITAN Cement Group is seeking to hire a promising Concrete Lab Assistant who will be responsible to ensure timely delivery of technology-oriented results which add value to organization initiatives, by contributing in planning, setting up and performing experimental procedures, conducting and supporting scientific investigations as well as collecting, analyzing and reporting relevant data


The position is based in TITAN Kamari Plant, in Greece.

 

What you will be doing
The principal accountabilities of the role refer to the key functions of the Group Concrete & Aggregates Laboratory, at the Group Research, Innovation & Quality department, in particular, to participating and contributing towards efficient, safe and uninterrupted laboratory operations. In specific, the Concrete Lab Assistant will be responsible to: 
•    Plan and perform experimental procedures within laboratory time schedules
•    Conduct sampling and testing of materials for use in applications regarding concrete and aggregates, according to relevant Standards (EN, ASTM)
•    Evaluate testing results to share with management and colleagues, as appropriate per case
•    Operate laboratory equipment at optimal and safe manner
•    Collaborate efficiently with laboratory personnel and other colleagues for the timely completion of testing and other tasks
•    Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures
•    Ensure technical reports are generated and communicated in a time-conscious and structured manner
•    Participate and contribute to reporting activities, including evaluation of the lab quality systems
•    Contribute in dissemination activities related to research and innovation

 

What you will bring
•    A Bachelor’s degree or proven technical proficiency in technical fields (materials science, engineering)
•    Proven working experience of at least two (2) years in relevant laboratory positions, while demonstrated experience on accreditation and quality control systems (i.e. ISO 17025, ISO 9001) are considered most appropriate and preferred
•    Technical proficiency in testing methods related to concrete and aggregates for concrete and testing standards (EN, ASTM) with ease to adapt new testing methods
•    Demonstrated capacity in laboratory practices, processes, and tools, including planning and tracking progress, timelines, and budgets
•    Demonstrated competence in matters related to innovation and sustainability related to cement sector
•    Technology-savviness, with an ability to master laboratory, or industrial software applications
•    Fluent in English and at least one other EU language
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
•    Military obligations fulfilled (*if applicable)
