Job description

This salaried exempt position is based at the Pennsuco Plant in medley, Florida and reports directly to the VP of Cement Operations. The person is responsible for managing all aspects of security for the Pennsuco facility including the Cement and Aggregate plants and ancillary Titan locations within the compound.

 

Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to the following

• The Security Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of security for the Pennsuco facility.

• Collaborates with all plant management and personnel to ensure the highest level of security for the plant.

• Identifies and fills staffing and facility needs for daily and event operations.

• Coordinates staffing levels for events and approves all Security department schedules.

• Directly supervises Security Supervisors, full time, and part time staff personnel.

• Handles duties and problems associated with the assigned supervisory responsivities such as assigned duties, evaluate employee’s performance reviews, recommending promotions, terminations, and disciplinary matters.

• Works in coordination with the VP of Operations as to the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.

• Will provide direction and supervision to ensure the physical safety and security of the public, guests, visitors, employees, contractors, vendors, and assets.

• Oversees and supports all security supervisor and security guard functions to include ticket collect, product identification, audits, report writing, etc.

• Ensures the proper MSHA site specific Part 46 processing for all vendors, visitors, and contractors.

• Timely and effectively responds to security requests and emergencies.

• Ensure daily ticket order process.

• Develops and maintains security and policies, programs, and standard operating procedures to protect and minimize plant liability exposures and losses and implements improvements/changes as needed.

• Oversees all security and safety activities in such a manner as to ensure the highest possible level of security, safety and comfort to all patrons and employees of the Pennsuco plant. Serves as the liaison with all officials and agents of law enforcement and regulatory or security agencies.

• Manages and oversees the operational requirements of security to assure the optimum and most cost-effective use of manpower and equipment.

• Manages investigations and maintains records related to security incidents, loss prevention issues.

• Works in coordination with all departments to identify, control and rectify liability exposures. Also recommends and implements changes or improvements as needed.

• Reviews, approves, and modifies event security contractor security plans to ensure conformance to standards and expectations.

• Ensures proper training and development programs for security personnel ensure ongoing improvement and professional growth.

• Responsible for all in-house security systems, key systems, security camera, storage and monitoring systems, and access control system to include the photo ID badge program.

• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in security, management, or related field

• Minimum of 10 years job related experience with at least five in full managerial capacity

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Must be able to read, speak, write English. Spanish is a plus.

• Knowledge of substantiative and procedural law

• Excellent problem solving and influencing skills.

• Knowledge and working understanding of security technological systems.

• Certified in emergency response procedures
