We are looking for skilled and motivated Terminal Maintenance Technician I located in Longwood, FL to join the Titan Florida team.  This hourly position reports directly to the Terminal Manager.  All duties are performed in a work-safe manner. This individual works as a Terminal team member. The primary purpose of this position is to participate as a technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair the Terminal.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to all safety policies rules and regulations (Titan & OSHA).
  • Participates in required safety trainings and meetings.
  • Communicates well with all terminal personnel; be a team player.
  • Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations (Titan & OSHA).
  • While plant is running, ensure there is no material contamination and inspect the plant for deficiencies as you work.
  • Basic welding, grinding, and cutting experience; ability to perform maintenance welding to equipment.  Grease lubrication points throughout the plant on a regular basis and as directed.
  • Knowledge of hardware sizes, general mechanics, hand tools, power tools, and repair practices.
  • Assist with complex repairs to the plant and other systems on site.
  • Have a general understanding of conveyors, crushers, screens, screws, and other aggregate processing equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on fixed and mobile equipment.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment issues. Identifies and communicates issues efficiently with supervisor or Manager.
  • Assists with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) regarding equipment, processes, and incidents.
  • Maintain records of work performed to assist in tracking equipment history.
  • Maintain exterior, interior shop and work area cleanliness.
  • Able to proficiently operate a forklift, manlift, and other service equipment as required.
  • Operates hand-help radio according to company policy and FCC regulations.
  • Assist with railcar unloading as necessary.
  • May be scheduled to work nights and weekends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED and on-the-job training.
  • Maintain a current Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to understand and follow the oral and written instructions sufficient to carry out repair orders and understand maintenance records and equipment specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and fractions for hardware.
  • Ability to maintain basic records for repair work done.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices used to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Ability to interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Physical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights, and ability to lift to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
