We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Supervisor for Titan Florida. This exempt position will report directly to the Terminal Operations Manager and the primary function will be to be responsible for the initiation, planning, supervision, and execution of projects for Titan Florida in the areas of Rail Terminals and Tampa Port. In addition, this role is responsible for developing efficiencies for Titan business activities directly related to the terminals (via synchronizing Processes/Procedures with other Titan Florida Departments as well as with other Titan America Divisions). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
  • The ability to communicate and train across a broad spectrum.
  • Lead in the preparation of feasibility studies, including costs and schedules for proposed capital projects; Ability to present the most efficient technical solution for a given goal, aiming at zero waste and maximizing the ROI for the company.
  • Prepare preliminary studies for new concepts as well as coordinate with engineering and consulting firms for the detail design and permitting of new projects.
  • Work with Corporate Engineering and Business Unit purchasing departments and prepare scopes of supply and scopes of work for the purchasing of new equipment as well as the construction and installation work for new assets or upgrades of existing ones.
  • Perform evaluation on bids received by considering Life Cycle Costs and examining engineering solutions in terms of Reliability and Maintainability and operational total costs.
  • Prepare reports to present project progress, and inform business leaders on the progress, quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
  • Ability to travel across the Titan Florida operations and occasionally supervise tasks away from the Deerfield Beach office for longer periods.

 

 

Required skills & experience

 

  • BS degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Prior knowledge of Excel.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in the Project Management of Capital Projects in a Logistics or Industrial setting
  • Good knowledge of Project Management techniques and software (MS Project etc.)
  • Collaborative work style with a project/deadline focused approach.
  • Available to workdays, nights, and weekends as needed with project deadlines.
  • Positive attitude to achieve goals and deliver results individually and in a team environment.
  • Able to assimilate and not only embrace but lead change initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
  • Industry knowledge a plus.
