Environmental Engineer

 

 

Titan America LLC has an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Engineer at our Deerfield Beach, Florida facility.  This exempt position will report to the Environmental Manager and will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support in environmental matters.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure compliance with all Local, State, and Federal environmental laws and regulations through audits, training, record keeping, and reporting.
  • Obtain and maintain all environmental permits for air, water, and waste.  Ensure compliance with all Environmental Permits through site audits, employee training, and administrative record keeping and reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between our operations and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans.
  • Assist management in implementing environmental improvement programs to promote increased environmental performance.
  • Keep current on any regulatory and legislative changes regarding environmental compliance and other legislative requirements and advise management.
  • Determine effective methods to correct out-of-compliance issues.
  • Monitoring of plant environmental status, make recommendations for improved methodologies.
  • Provide training to others to keep us in compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with Production and other Operation departments.

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • B.Sc. degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related fields is required.
  • 3-5 years experience in Environmental Engineering positions in heavy industrial installations (preferably cement, aggregates, or concrete).
  • Knowledge of air quality and water standards, monitoring and reporting.
