Lab Technician

Interbeton, part of TITAN Greece, has an excellent opportunity for a Lab Technician in Athens. The main responsibilities of the role are the process control, quality control, and quality assurance sampling and testing of daily production of the Ready-Mix Unit.

Main Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of concrete and concrete materials to determine adherence to product specifications
• Communicate respectively trends in test results
• Use test results to make recommendations on product changes
• Maintain the requirements of the quality management system
• Oversee the quality control of production and operation of the laboratory
• Interface with and advises production and load-out personnel on quality matters
• Monitor material handling to assure compliance
• Audit lab and field-testing equipment regularly to troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks in addition to providing recommendations for improvement
• Source and place orders for new lab equipment as needed
• Keep equipment operated clean and safe; Maintain a safe work environment
• Supervise and coordinate all activities at the lab facility

Candidate Profile

• TEI Graduate
• Experience in Quality Systems, laboratory testing of concrete products, and trial batch procedures
• Basic knowledge of design and control of concrete products and mixtures
• Familiarity of automation lab equipment will be considered a plus
• Ready-mix concrete experience and knowledge of Concrete Technology Regulation would be considered an asset
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Proactive attitude toward solving problems
• Safety-minded and team-oriented attitude
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in Greek and English (oral and written)
